The Mi 8 Lite and Mi 8 Pro smartphones are not the only ads from Xiaomi this September: recently, the company revealed the Redmi Note 6 Pro, intermediate smartphone with four cameras (two in the front and two in the back), screen with notch and 4,000 mAh battery.
Currently, the Redmi line has models such as Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro. The Redmi Note 6 Pro comes to be an option with intermediate specifications, but with a generous screen: they are 6.26 inches on a 19: 9 LCD panel, 2280 × 1080 pixel resolution (FHD +) and the aforementioned notch.
The processor has not changed from the predecessor model, the Redmi Note 5 Pro: both have the 1.8 GHz Snapdragon 636 octa-core chip and Adreno 509 GPU. The explanation is probably in the short launch interval between the two models: the Redmi Note 5 Pro was announced in February this year.
In other specifications, the Redmi Note 6 Pro offers 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of expandable internal space with microSD of up to 256 GB, the aforementioned 4,000 mAh battery (also present in the previous generation), Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and, worth mentioning, connection for headphones. The USB port, however, follows the old micro-USB standard instead of USB-C. The operating system is Android 8.1 Oreo.
At the rear, the camera set is practically the same as the previous generation: there are two sensors, one with 12 megapixels, the other with 5. However, on the Redmi Note 6 Pro, the apertures are f / 1.9 and f / 2.0 , respectively (against f / 2.2 and f / 2.0 of the Redmi Note 5 Pro).
There are new features on the front: complementing the 20 megapixel camera and f / 2.0 aperture that also exists in the predecessor, the notch houses an additional 2 megapixel sensor. In addition to photos with blurred background, the set allows unlocking by facial recognition. For those who prefer fingerprint unlocking, the sensor is at the rear.
Sales of the Redmi Note 6 Pro will start in Thailand, priced at $ 215. Versions with 3 GB and 6 GB of RAM are also planned by Xiaomi.
