THE Xiaomi said that he will launch a smartphone with Samsung 108 megapixel sensor, which could be the Mi Mix 4. The company also confirmed that it is preparing a Redmi cell phone with a 64 megapixel camera, capable of taking photos that weigh up to 19 MB and can be printed in poster size.
The news was presented on Wednesday (7) at the Xiaomi Future Image Technology Conference in Beijing, China. There are still few details about the 108 MP phone: we only know that it will come with a new, unannounced Samsung Isocell sensor, and will produce huge images of 12,032 x 9,024 pixels.
According to the XDA Developers, Xiaomi prepares a smartphone called “hercules” with Snapdragon 855 processor, triple rear camera, wireless battery charging and digital reader built into the screen. This may be the Mi Mix 4, and rumors say it will come with the 108 megapixel sensor.
Xiaomi will have 64 megapixel Redmi phone
At the event, Xiaomi also spoke about the 64-megapixel Samsung Isocell GW1 sensor, which will be on a future Redmi smartphone. It has 1 / 1.7 inch and 0.8 μm pixels with Tetracell technology, which combines four pixels to function as a single 1.6 μm. The idea is to capture more light; in this case, the photos will be 16 MP.
The new Redmi phone will be able to capture photos with a resolution of up to 9,248 x 6,936, allowing the user to print a 2.44mx 3.26m poster with 72 dpi. The size of each file reaches 19 MB.
