In addition to the Mi Mix Alpha with a screen that runs down to the rear, the Xiaomi presented on Tuesday (24) a more normal smartphone: the Mi 9 Pro 5G. This is a variant of the Xiaomi Mi 9 flagship with more powerful hardware, faster connection and a larger battery of 4,000 mAh, which can be fully charged in just 48 minutes via the cable.
What hasn’t changed? First, the cameras: we continue with a trio of main sensor of 48 megapixels, ultrawide of 16 megapixels and telephoto of 12 megapixels. This set was well evaluated at the time of the Mi 9, having surpassed cell phones like iPhone XS Max and Samsung Galaxy Note 9, much more expensive. The OLED screen remains at 6.4 inches and Full HD + resolution, but has gained “professional calibration”, says Xiaomi.
The hardware is more powerful, with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus powered by games, 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB of internal storage. With a 5G modem, the phone is capable of exceeding 2 Gb / s download speeds in laboratory tests.
But the biggest gain is in the battery: it went from 3,300 mAh to 4,000 mAh and brings fast charging of 40 watts, which allows you to charge from zero to 100% in just 48 minutes. With a 30-watt wireless base from Xiaomi, you can recharge the Mi 9 Pro 5G in 69 minutes. And it still has 10 watt reverse induction charging, twice the power of the Huawei P30 Pro, as Xiaomi was keen to point out.
