WhatsApp may release video and voice calls in the web version of the messenger in the coming weeks. The function had already been discovered in September and, it seems, may initially arrive in a trial version for some people.
According to the news reported by the WABetaInfo, when receiving a call on WhatsApp Web, the messenger displays a small window, in which you can answer or refuse the call.
The service also displays a window (even smaller) when you make the call. In it, it is possible to observe the status of the call, end it, in addition to turning on / off the camera and microphone.
The information was found in version 2.2043.7 of WhatsApp Web, and is not yet available to users. However, some icons with the “beta” tag discovered indicate that the function can be released initially during a trial period.
In addition to individual voice and video calls, the feature will also work in messenger groups.
