WhatsApp should finally allow iPhone users to send memoji stickers, Apple’s 3D emojis, in their conversations. The messenger is testing the new option in beta version 22.214.171.124 for those on iOS 13.
The information is WABetaInfo, known for advancing the next WhatsApp updates. The website published some images with examples of the stickers. They can be created on iOS 13 by any device with an A9 processor or later, even those without a Face ID.
The novelty represents another advance for the option of stickers, which has become quite popular. Shortly after being launched in October 2018, it had only stickers created by the WhatsApp team and invited designers.
Since then, sticker packs created by users themselves have spread across the Google Play Store. Telegram itself, which has been offering the feature since 2015, has released 20 packages with dozens of WhatsApp stickers for Android and iOS.
Still on the beta version, the application started to display the warning “WhatsApp from Facebook”, which already appears in the Android version. A similar alert started to appear on Instagram, in what would be an attempt by Facebook to protect itself from initiatives to divide the company.
