Super Smash Bros. Ultimate wins Minecraft boost | Games

It had been a while since the last news in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This Thursday (01), director Masahiro Sakurai released the game’s new partnership with Minecraft and already introduced the new fighter: Steve. The character will also be accompanied by Alex, Zombie and Enderman.

Steve is the second fighter announced as part of the DLC Fighter Pass Vol. 2 package; before him the character Min (from Arms) appeared in the arena. There are still four more new fighters to be revealed in this pack.

During a brief video presentation, Sakurai explained a little about the challenge it was to implement Minecraft in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. According to the director, “arenas had to be reworked so that the blocks could be included”. He also said that working on the design of Steve and Alex’s models was very complex in the game’s engine.

In the trailer for introducing the new character (which you can see below) you can see Steve in action, with a few strokes and specials. The player can also exchange Steve for Alex or Enderman.

There is still no release date for Steve’s debut, but we will have a new presentation of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on October 3, which promises to show more deeply the gameplay of the character of Minecraft.
