O Sony Xperia 5 II (Xperia 5 Mark II) is the newest phone from the Japanese manufacturer. Announced this Thursday (17th), the smartphone of Sony draws attention for the advanced technical sheet, with Snapdragon 865 processor, and improvements for games, such as the 120 Hz screen. Phone sales are expected to start in 2020.
The launch tends to please the gamer audience. Starting with the 6.1-inch screen, with Full HD + resolution (2520 x 1080 pixels), HDR and refresh and touch response rates of 120 Hz and 240 Hz, respectively. According to Sony, the touch response had an improvement of 35% when compared to the Xperia 1 II, made official in February.
In addition, the OLED screen has a 21: 9 aspect ratio, which can make the smartphone more comfortable to use horizontally. The Sony Xperia 5 II still connects with the PlayStation DualShock 4 controller, and has features to reduce heat while games are played, such as the graphene layer.
The triple photographic set is present, with a 12 megapixel main camera and two other sensors with the same resolution and ultrawide and telephoto lenses. Sony’s launch also features professional mode, with manual controls, and shoots in 4K at 120 frames per second (fps). For selfies, it’s 8 megapixels.
Inside, the advanced technical sheet is formed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage, with support for a memory card of up to 1 TB. The battery is 4,000 mAh, with features to save energy and avoid high temperatures during charging while the user plays.
With Android 10 from the factory, the smartphone still comes out of the box with a dedicated headphone jack (3.5 mm), USB-C port, digital reader, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC.
Xperia 5 II: price and availability
In the United States, the pre-sale of the Xperia 5 II is scheduled to start on September 29, with a suggested price of US $ 950 (about R $ 4,970 in direct conversion). If ordered by November 29, the user will still take home a $ 400 game pack, including a gamer headset, a 10,000 mAh power bank and 21,600 points for Call of Duty: Mobile.
The cell phone is expected to reach consumers on December 4, 2020.
There is no forecast for the launch of the Sony Xperia 5 II in Brazil. In April 2019, Sony gave up on selling Xperia smartphones in Brazil after changing its sales strategy.
