O Samsung Galaxy S5 and Note 3 were launched in 2014 and 2013, respectively. But cell phones Samsung Galaxy could be upgraded to Android 10 thanks to LineageOS 17.1. The Xiaomi Mi 9T and Xiaomi Redmi K20 also received official support for the custom ROM this week.

Samsung Galaxy S5 and Note 3 receive LineageOS 17.1

Samsung and Xiaomi phones received official support for LineageOS 17.1. Launched in April 2020 for 52 phones and tablets, the custom ROM brings Android 10 to older smartphones and tablets that have stopped receiving official updates from manufacturers.

Supported LineageOS 17.1 with Android 10, Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S5 Active, launched in 2014 with Android 4.4, and Samsung Galaxy Note 3, announced in 2013 with Android 4.3. The other smartphones to be awarded for the update are the Mi 9T and Redmi K20, revealed in 2019 with Android 9.

In June 2020, LineageOS 17.1 had expanded support for the 2nd generation Moto X, Xiaomi Redmi 2, Galaxy S5 Neo and other gadgets. Days later, it was Motorola Moto G4 Play, Moto X Play, Moto G (3rd generation) and more to receive Android 10 through the customized ROM.
