The Galaxy A50 has existed in Brazil since April this year and we already have a complete review of it, but today (22) Samsung launched a new variant of this intermediary that now comes with double the internal memory. In this version the smartphone has 128 GB space and costs less than the launch price of the first half.
Inside the Galaxy A50 is a less powerful intermediary, but that does not offer hardware that leaves the user in the dark. It comes with an eight-core Exynos 9610 processor at up to 2.3 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and 4,000 mAh battery. With today’s launch, the Galaxy A50 now offers an option of 64 GB and 128 GB, maintaining the space for memory expansion via microSD card – slot that the Galaxy A80 removed.
The screen is 6.4 inches Super AMOLED, with Full HD + resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels) and comes in a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio, with drop-shaped notch in the center of the top of the device. This is the first model of the new Galaxy A line with a digital reader under the screen, in an optical format similar to the HuaweiP30 Pro.
At the rear are three lenses, but two cameras that can be chosen by the application that takes care of photos. The main one is 25 megapixels and f / 1.7 aperture, while the second is an 8 megapixel ultrawide with f / 2.2 aperture. The third is 5 megapixels, but it serves only as a distance meter for portrait mode, which Samsung calls dynamic focus. The camera inside the notch is also 25 megapixels.
128 GB Galaxy A50 is less expensive
When it launched in April, the Galaxy A50 arrived on the shelves for R $ 2,000, a salty amount for an intermediary. Looking at the current market, four months after its launch, it is already possible to find the model for values ranging from R $ 1,400 to R $ 1,500 in retail.
With the new version, the 64 GB model has its official price reduced to R $ 1,799 and the value for the variant with 128 GB of internal memory is suggested at R $ 1,899 – R $ 200 less than the original launch value the first semester.
