Nvidia GeForce Now Streaming PC Games to Chromebook | Games

Nvidia has released the access of a considerable number of Chromebooks to the game streaming service GeForce Now. The novelty makes the notebook, even in models with fairly simple hardware, become a game machine capable of running heavy titles such as the recent Death Stranding it’s from Cyberpunk 2077.

GeForce Now is a game streaming service that competes with others like Google Stadia and Microsoft’s xCloud, but with a different footprint as it allows you to run games that the user has already purchased from some virtual stores such as Steam, Epic Games Store and Uplay. For now there are more than 650 titles available, of which about 70 are free to play – as Team Fortress 2, miss you.

From now on, Chrome OS enters a list of compatible devices that already includes players on PC, Mac, Shield and also on Android devices, which can run games without the need to have the title installed.

In Brazil, Chromebooks are not accessible as in other countries, but in these places the addition of them means that a laptop that can cost between US $ 150 and US $ 200, which is quite successful with those at school and uses it for learning, can be the same as after class and homework, it will serve for a game of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey or even the hypado Cyberpunk 2077 when it comes out, for example.

GeForce Now can run on this list:

  • Acer Chromebook 15 CB3-532-C4ZZ
  • Acer Chromebook 715 * 1
  • Acer Chromebook Spin 13
  • Asus C101P Flip
  • Asus Flip C302CA
  • Asus Chromebook Flip C434
  • Google PixelBook
  • Google PixelBook Go
  • HP Chromebook x360
  • Lenovo Yoga Chromebook C630
  • Samsung Chromebook 3
  • Samsung Chromebook Plus
  • Samsung Chromebook XE350XBA (Chromebook 4)
  • HP 15-de0517wm

Some models are very simple in hardware and suffer even to run Android games from the Play Store with everything at a minimum, as is the Samsung Chromebook 3, which has 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM and can have an Intel Celeron or Samsung processor, being an Exynos 5.

The sad part is that in Brazil GeForce Now is not yet available, even for a Chromebook purchased abroad. There is not even a forecast for gambling to happen here. If you are in a country where GeForce Now is supported, just go to play.geforcenow.com and have at least 4 GB of RAM, in addition to a connection of at least 15 Mbps.
