O Nubank revealed on Tuesday (24) that it has started testing a new resource for the NuConta: it will be possible to top up prepaid cell lines through the fintech application, simply by having a balance in the digital account. The novelty has already begun to appear for a group of selected users.
The vice president of consumption at Nubank, Vitor Olivier, shows that the target audience is large: “Today, more than half of active cell phones in Brazil are prepaid and about 60% of recharges are made digitally. We want to simplify this process and bring the Nubank experience to this group of consumers as well ”.
It works like this: if you have the feature activated, just open the app, access the function bar and tap the Recharge option. So, just choose the operator, enter the cell phone number and select the recharge amount. To confirm the transaction, you will be asked for the NuConta four-digit password.
Says Nubank: “The transaction will be 100% digital and made directly on the Nubank app. To recharge, simply have a balance at NuConta – without the need to add a debit or credit card number ”. Fintech has 13 million users in Latin America, with 10 million Brazilians having a digital account.
The first users to test the novelty at NuConta will be “customers who had already requested a cell phone recharge through the fintech call center and some of NuCommunity’s most active users, the company’s online community”. Nubank did not say when it plans to expand the resource to the entire base.
