THE Nintendo announced that the Switch, its current console, will be officially launched in Brazil. The information comes from Nintendo of America’s official Twitter account and says more news will be revealed soon.
For now, no price, exact date or official games in Portuguese to be launched here with this new brand presence. The company asks everyone to keep an eye on their social networks, such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, to find out what’s new first hand.
It is worth remembering that Nintendo offers some services already official for its fans in the country, such as the online store of games for Switch, where it is possible to buy codes to be redeemed on the console. Games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Cuphead and Pikmin 3 Deluxe are among those available.
At the 2018 Brasil Game Show, the company had already revealed plans to officially return to Brazil, after its departure in 2015. At the time, demonstrations of Switch games were taken to the event, but presented behind closed doors, for the press and guests.
After that, prepaid game cards and subscriptions started to be sold in retailers and also online, but only for exclusive Nintendo titles, such as Super Mario Odyssey, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Pokémon Sword & Shield.
At BGS 2019, the company was present to demonstrate its games to the public, in a broader way. It is worth remembering that, however, Nintendo was never officially present in the country, only through third-party companies, such as Gradiente or Gaming do Brasil.
The Switch was officially launched on March 3, 2017, in the USA, Europe and Japan, which leads us to a three-year delay in its arrival in Brazil.
It remains to wait for more news, especially the price. Through official resellers, the Switch and Switch Lite, two current models of the console, are already offered in the country for values ranging between R $ 2 thousand and R $ 4 thousand.
