Without much fanfare, the Apple started selling the 7th generation iPad in its online store in Brazil: it has a 10.2 inch screen and support for Smart Keyboard. The tablet, available in space gray, silver and gold, costs between R $ 2,999 and R $ 4,899. It arrives shortly before the launch of the iPhone 11 and Apple Watch Series 5 in the country.
There are three main differences in the new iPad compared to previous models. The Retina display just got a little bigger and is now 10.2 inches (instead of 9.7 inches). The Smart Connector pins that allow you to connect an accessory that serves as a cover and keyboard. And thinking about sustainability, the tablet body is 100% made from recycled aluminum.
Other than that, the iPad has changed little. The edges remain large; unlocking is done through the Home button with Touch ID; and support for the first generation Apple Pencil remains. The processor is still the A10 Fusion, even from the previous generation. It already runs the factory iPadOS, offering a closer experience to the desktop.
