iPhones 12 must have smaller batteries, indicates approval | Cell phone

THE Apple should include smaller batteries in new iPhones 12. The expectation, as demonstrated by homologation certificates issued in South Korea, China and Denmark, is that the next crop of cell phones of the North American brand will bring components with capacities between 2,227 mAh and 3,687 mAh.

iPhones 12 must have smaller batteries

The information was revealed by the MySmartPrice this Monday (13). According to the specialized website, Apple registered three batteries in the three countries for the brand’s next smartphones: A2471 with 2,227mAh (iPhone 12), A2431 with 2,775mAh (iPhone 12 Max and iPhone 12 Pro) and A2466 with 3,687mAh (iPhone 12 Pro Max).

The components, unlike what happened in 2019, have lower capacities than the current generation of Apple phones. Compared to the predecessor of the iPhone 12, the iPhone 11 has a 3,110 mAh battery. The parts of the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have capacities of 3,046 mAh and 3,969 mAh, respectively.

The capacities presented by the homologation certificates also clash with rumors raised in May. According to backstage information at the time, the iPhone 12 Pro Max will have a 4,400 mAh component precisely to compensate for energy costs with the 5G and the 120 Hz refresh rate screen.

Other changes are also expected in the technical data sheets of the next Apple phones. It is expected that the quartet will be presented with 5G, changes in visual, smaller notch, 120 Hz screen in the most advanced editions and reach the consumer without a headset and charger in the box.

There is no official release date for the iPhone 12 line yet. Apple is expected to announce smartphones in the second half of 2020.
