As rumors already pointed out, the launch of the iPhone 12 it won’t happen in September this year. Instead, Apple unveiled new iPads, Apple Watch Series 6 and a few other products at an event last Tuesday (15). However, the new tablets from the manufacturer can already pass some ideas on what to expect from the next generation of iPhones in terms of performance and design.
Apple A14 Bionic: iPhone 12 should have the same processor as the iPad Air
As is tradition for Apple, the iPhone 12 line should win a new processor of its own manufacture. The chip in question must be the A14 Bionic, already revealed with the new iPad Air.
With this component manufactured in a 5 nanometer process, the iPhone 12 should deliver even more performance compared to the iPhone 11 chip – in addition to greater energy efficiency.
Estimates by AnandTech, according to the BGR, is that the A14 is about 16% faster than the A13 Bionic and has 8.3% higher graphics performance.
Design reform and new colors
The main rumors about the iPhone 12 also commented on the new look, which would bring flat stainless steel edges, like the older iPhones (iPhone 5). The new iPad Air has already undergone this change, which contributes to the theory that the next Apple smartphones should follow the pattern.
In addition, the various color options of the iPhone 11 may have a continuation in 2020: the iPhone 12 can bring new options with bright and pastel tones – as well as the iPad Air, which won models in green and sky blue.
