iOS 13 is released for iPhone and watchOS 6 comes to Apple Watch | Applications and Software

O iOS 13 is available for all compatible iPhones: Apple released the final version to users on Thursday (19), bringing features such as dark mode, QuickPath keyboard, more complete Safari and Apple Arcade. All models released since the iPhone 6s, including the iPhone SE, will be able to install the update; as well as the latest iPod Touch. WatchOS 6 was also released today for the Apple Watch.

It was already possible to install iOS 13 a few months ago, but in beta. Since then, Apple has fixed several bugs until it reached the final (GM) version released today for everyone. To update, follow the path Settings> General> Software Update.

It is worth remembering that iOS 13.1 is already being prepared and will arrive on September 30th: it will bring some minor features that were not stable enough, such as informing your estimated arrival time through Apple Maps.

The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max already come with iOS 13 pre-installed. The first two models have already been approved by Anatel for sale in Brazil; and Pro Max appears in the agency’s certification system, but has not yet been released.

And the iPad? The system for Apple tablets is now called iPadOS, and the update will be available on September 30th.

WatchOS 6 is compatible with the following models:

  • Apple Watch Series 3
  • Apple Watch Series 4

The original Apple Watch, dubbed “Series 0”, remains on watchOS 4. It was released in an 18-carat gold version that cost up to R $ 135,000.
