Huawei Mate 40 should only have global launch in 2021 | Cell phone

The cell phone line Huawei Mate 40 it should only hit stores next year. This is what Evan Blass says, known for anticipating information about launches of smartphones and other gadgets, this Sunday (13). The new phones from Huawei are scheduled to be presented to the public in October 2020.

The delay in launching tends to affect all cell phones in the line that will succeed the Huawei Mate 30. “It seems that, if you are waiting for the Huawei Mate 40 line, you won’t be able to get your hands on it until next year…”, says Blass in a tweet posted on your profile this weekend.

It is not yet clear, however, the reasons for the new smartphones to reach stores only in 2021. As noted in Android Authority, the global launch next year may be due either to a strategic decision to take cell phones to China first, or to the possible delay in production due to friction between Huawei and the United States authorities.

The expectation is that smartphones will be announced next month.

Huawei Mate 40: what to expect?

Huawei Mate 40: this may be the next family of premium phones from the Chinese brand. According to Digital Chat Station in a post on the Chinese social network Weibo on September 9, the smartphone lineup should consist of Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro +, the last two with a dual front camera.

Renderings of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro were revealed by OnLeaks in the website Pricebaba at the beginning of August 2020. As the images show, the smartphone will have a 6.7-inch screen with a hole in the upper left corner to house the cameras for selfies, as in the Huawei P40 Pro, announced in March 2020.

The quadruple photographic set is one of the points that should draw the most attention on the Chinese cell phone. In the renderings, the cameras are arranged in a very apparent circular module. In addition, the quartet is expected to have a sensor with a telephoto lens, for photographing objects at a distance, for example.

The launch should also mark the return of the physical buttons to control the volume, positioned on the side of the phone. It is also expected that the phone will have an advanced technical file, but without Google applications due to the sanctions imposed by the United States.

There is no forecast date and price for the launch of the Huawei Mate 40 line in Brazil.
