O Google invited the press to an event in New York on October 15, a time when the company usually presents new hardware products. We will see the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, cell phones that leaked widely; and we look forward to a new Pixelbook with Chrome OS and smart speakers.
The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL leaks were so many that I even find it funny. It’s not just blurry photos or a supposed technical sheet: both devices already have hands-on on YouTube. (You can enable English subtitles in the video above.)
Pixel 4 prototypes fell into the hands of some Vietnamese youtubers; according to Nikkei Asian Review, Google migrated part of the manufacturing of its products to Vietnam, in an attempt to escape the higher tariffs the United States has placed on China.
Pixel 4 and 4 XL have facial unlock and 90 Hz screen
The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL have a Snapdragon 855 processor, 6 GB of RAM and a rear camera with 12 megapixel sensors (main) and 16 MP (telephoto for up to 8x zoom). There is a third sensor that may serve to detect colors more accurately.
The Pixel 4’s screen is 5.7 inches with Full-HD + (1080p) resolution; while the Pixel 4 XL comes with 6.3 inches and 1440p. Both use OLED panels with a refresh rate of 90 Hz in what Google calls “Smooth Display”. They have a large border on the top for “Motion Sense”, a system that makes facial unlocking and detects gestures without touch.
The battery of the smaller model has 2,800 mAh, against a capacity of 3,700 mAh in the XL version. They are charged via the USB-C port. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Both devices run Android 10, of course, and come with Google Assistant faster, as you can see in this leaked commercial:

Probably Google will not have much news about the Pixel 4 to announce in October. According to the Android Police, a retailer in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, already sells almost finished units of the device for the equivalent of R $ 4,500.
However, we look forward to other products at the event. We must have a Pixelbook 2, laptop with Chrome OS and specifications closer to the high-end; new Google Home smart speakers; and more details about Stadia game streaming, which will be released in November.
The Google event will be broadcast live on YouTube on September 25 at 11 am Brasília time.
