Google Pixel 5 must come without Face ID clone and gesture sensor | Cell phone

O Google Pixel 5 showed up before the launch in images revealed by OnLeaks in the website Pricebaba this Friday (21). The expectation is that the next Google cell phone will mark the return of the fingerprint reader and abandon the gesture sensor in 2020. The smartphone should be announced in the coming months.

At first glance, the Pixel 5 bears similarities to the Google Pixel 4a due to the front camera positioned in a hole in the screen, which should measure between 5.7 and 5.8 inches. In addition, the photographic set remains in a square module, where there are two cameras, a sensor not yet identified and the LED flash.

The successor to the Google Pixel 4 should be 144.7 mm high and 70.4 mm wide. The thickness, in turn, ranges from 8.1 mm to 8.5 mm due to the rear camera. The smartphone can still bring back the fingerprint reader on the back, a feature missing in the previous generation. The dedicated headphone jack, however, tends to be left out.

According to behind-the-scenes information previously revealed, the smartphone’s technical sheet may include the Snapdragon 765 processor with 5G. The phone still tends to come out of the box with Android 11 from the factory, but without Motion Sense.

Confirmed by Google for this year during the launch of the Pixel 4a, it is expected that the smartphone will be announced in early October, as shown in a post on the official Google blog of France.

There is no forecast date and price for the launch of Google Pixel 5 in Brazil.
