Elon Musk publishes tweet using Starlink’s satellite internet | Internet

This morning (22) Elon Musk published a tweet using his own Starlink satellite system, which were launched into space in the first half of this year. They are part of a constellation of dozens of small satellites that belong to the company SpaceX and that will provide internet in basically anywhere on the planet.

Spacelink Starlink Satellite

Starlink is a system of small satellites that will cover planet Earth, delivering high speed internet even in rural areas, with 1 Gb / s connection. Elon Musk, CEO of companies like SpaceX that took these satellites off the ground, and Tesla, posted on his Twitter profile a message that says he used Starlink as an internet provider.

He comments that the service worked perfectly and this may be one of the first real uses of the network.

For the time being the number of Starlink satellites in orbit does not reach 100 and they all arrived there with a ride with SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket. By 2024 there will be 12 thousand units that will communicate to take the internet to the user – with another 30 thousand already planned.

All are in orbit and at a distance of 440 kilometers from the surface, close to the orbit altitude of the International Space Station which is about 400 kilometers above sea level. The forecast for the system to be available for commercial use is sometime next year.
