Expected to be released next Tuesday (12), Disney + finally has a confirmed version for Fire TV. The news was announced by Disney at a conference with shareholders after a successful negotiation with Amazon.
According to Disney CEO Bob Iger, the platform will be available on Fire TV from the launch. The company also closed distribution agreements with Samsung, LG, Apple, Google and Microsoft, which will also offer the service on their devices.
In the case of Amazon, it will be available not only on Fire TV, but also on Fire TV Edition smart TVs and on Fire tablets and tablets. Users will also be able to send voice commands to Disney + on Fire TV via the Alexa Voice Remote, Amazon Echo or the Fire TV Cube.
The deal also offers Fire TV users seven days of free streaming service. During the period, it will be possible to take advantage of all the content on the platform, which includes productions from Disney, Fox, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic.
The November 12 launch will only serve the United States, Canada and the Netherlands. In March 2020, the service will reach five other countries: the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. In Brazil, it will be released only in November 2020.
In the US, Disney + will cost $ 6.99 a month on the 4K HDR plan and four simultaneous streams. In addition to Fire TV, it will be available on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV, Chromecast, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and browsers.
