O iFixit already dismantled the Apple Watch Series 6. According to the website on Monday (21), the new watch from Apple, announced last week, has a larger battery than its predecessor and received a score of six on a scale of zero to ten, in terms of reparability. The successor to the Apple Watch Series 5 will arrive in Brazil with prices starting at R $ 5,299.
Like last year’s watch, the new Apple Watch has gone through the iFixit dismantling ritual to test whether a device is easy to repair or not. The launch repeated the note of the Apple Watch Series 5, taking into account that the battery and screen are easier to change in the current generation.
IFixit also scored some changes between generations of Apple smartwatches. Starting with the 1.024 Wh battery in the 40 mm model and 1.17 Wh in the 44 mm watch. “In short: this is an increase of 3.5% for the 44 mm battery, and an even greater increase of 8.5% for the 40 mm battery, of its Series 5 equivalents”, notes the website.
The watch still leaves the Force Touch aside, since Apple has disabled the feature in watchOS 7, a system launched on Wednesday (16), which facilitates the dismantling of the device. In addition, the launch features the larger Taptic Engine vibration motor and fewer cables inside.
Apple Watch Series 6 will cost $ 5,299
The Apple Watch Series 6 is the newest smartwatch from Apple. Announced on September 15, along with the Apple Watch SE, the launch has features to measure blood saturation (SpO2), but is sold without the plug adapter. The wearable also has new colors: blue, gold and red (Product Red).
It is not known when the watch will reach national commerce, but the price has already been revealed: from R $ 5,299. It is worth remembering that the device works on 4G 700 MHz in Brazil.
