We’ve already commented on the likely $ 9.99 price for Apple TV +, Apple’s video streaming service. Today (21) other details have been discovered and they talk about downloading the content to watch offline, with limits on what can be done with what is downloaded.
The information was collected in codes that are within macOS Catalina, still in the version of public tests. The website MacRumors found information that states that Apple TV + will be similar to what already exists in several video streaming services, when it comes to offline content.
What was found is that the Cupertino company will allow the download of films, series and other types of videos that will be on the platform, with limits on the number of times that a specific episode can be downloaded, or else a maximum number of downloads that can be done in a period of time.
In addition, a limit alert for the number of simultaneous streams can appear if the user is watching the content on more than one device at the same time, something that is also similar to what its rivals like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
The codes do not reveal what these limits are, which can be different for each type of subscription made. On Netflix, for example, the subscription that offers videos in 1080p allows two streams at the same time and downloads on up to two gadgets, doubling the amount for the subscription with movies and series in 4K.
Rumors point to the launch of Apple TV + for November this year, the same month that should be the launch of a major competitor: Disney +.
