Apple has announced that, starting today (29), it will start offering parts, training and other types of support for independent technical assistance, with the aim of making the service very similar to what it already offers in its authorized service network. .
The first country to receive the novelty will be the United States, but there is promise to expand to more regions. Currently Apple has more than 5,000 locations that are authorized by the company to repair its products, these locations can purchase original parts, receive employee training, manuals and diagnostic techniques that can now also be done by others.
For now, the expansion program only covers iPhones and there are no costs to join, but the person responsible for the repair must have passed Apple’s certification training, which can also be done for free. These locations will only be able to offer technical assistance for iPhones that are already outside the warranty period and the location cannot be a reseller of smartphone parts, let alone a distributor of these peripherals.
This Apple technical assistance initiative for iPhones is already being tested in 20 locations in North America, Europe and Asia. Since June this year, the apple brand has used all physical stores of the Best Buy retail chain in the United States to increase the number of its authorized technical assistance
