The Apple Card began to be released to all iPhone users in the United States this week. It does not charge annuity or fees, only interest on the revolving account (from 12.99% to 23.99% per year); and offers up to 3% cashback for payments via Apple Pay, including in Uber races and Uber Eats deliveries. The recommendation is to clean the card with a soft microfiber cloth, lightly moistened with lint-free, isopropyl alcohol. “Do not use household or window cleaners, compressed air, aerosol sprays, solvents, ammonia or abrasives to clean your titanium Apple Card. Some fabrics, such as leather and jeans, can cause permanent discoloration that will not go away ”, informs the article.
According to Apple, it is also not recommended to store your Apple Card in the same wallet as another card, as this could scratch the finish or place it with potentially abrasive objects, such as keys. And, as we are talking about the United States, there is a warning that it can be demagnetized if it comes into contact with magnetic bag closers, for example.
Yes, it seems ridiculous to be so careful with a payment method, but the The Verge explains it better: it is not meant to be the best credit card on the market, but mainly to be a status symbol. “Basically, Apple is promoting the Apple Card as a manifestation of its brand philosophy around luxury, privacy and thinking outside the box.”
