The Apple Arcade, a subscription service for games, should cost the user $ 4.99 (about $ 20 in direct conversion) per month. This information was found within an App Store API and its official launch should happen with the release of iOS 13 to the public, which can happen next month.
This service is yet another subscription that Apple has in its product catalog, only now focused on delivering several paid games for the user and with a fixed monthly fee. During the launch, which took place at WWDC this year, Apple said it already has more than 100 games from companies like Konami, Cartoon Network, LEGO and SEGA, which can be downloaded on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and even computers with macOS.
In addition to not having to pay individually for each download, the advertising that would be within the games is removed, the games can be opened even without internet available and the titles can be shared within a family account.
Initially Apple Arcade will be launched in 150 countries, but we still don’t know if Brazil is on this list. The subscription price is US $ 4.99 (approximately R $ 20, excluding conversion fees and taxes) and the subscriber will be able to test it for 30 days before the first payment – just like with Apple Music.
Access to the games on the list will be done from a separate tab, within the App Store.
