Without much fanfare, Apple announced the AirPods Pro: the new Bluetooth headphones feature active noise cancellation and promise a superior and more immersive sound experience. The launch was already expected due to leaks. They will be sold starting this week in the USA, and will arrive in Brazil later this year costing R $ 2,249.
With a design similar to conventional AirPods, the new AirPods Pro are of the in-ear type, with silicone tips that allow better sealing for noise isolation, just as we found in other headphones. The product box includes three size options to fit most ears.
The device has two microphones for noise cancellation. The first is located at the rear and detects the ambient sound, while the second is turned into the ear, detecting unwanted sounds and emitting an inverted sound wave. According to Apple, the phone evaluates ambient sound more than 200 times per second via software to ensure better isolation.
For those moments when attention is needed, such as walking on the street, there is Ambient Mode, which continues with playback but maintains external noise. It is possible to activate the mode either through the smartphone or by the phone itself: just press the base hard to turn on and off active noise cancellation.
Apple Airpods Pro have Siri and case with wireless charging
The phone’s battery has an autonomy of 4h30 of audio, in addition to the case compatible with Qi wireless charging, which gives an additional 24h of autonomy. Apple says that five minutes of charging in the case delivers about 1 hour of audio.
Like second-generation AirPods, AirPods Pro also support Siri hands-free. The connection is quick and easy with iOS devices, and it is possible to share the content played with other headphones with a W1 chip.
AirPods Pro will start to be sold in the United States from October 30th for US $ 249. In Brazil, they will cost R $ 2,249. Apple does not reveal the release date here, but informs the Tecnoblog that the product will be available in the country by the end of the year.
