THE Anatel approved three wearable devices from Huawei: the Watch GT Classic Edition smart watch; a version of this smartwatch with a smaller screen, called Watch GT Elegant Edition; and the Huawei Band 3 fitness bracelet. They have an AMOLED screen, exercise monitoring and a battery that lasts up to 14 days. The company said it was interested in launching new products in Brazil, in addition to the P30 Pro and P30 Lite phones.
Cesar Cardoso, from Mobile Penguins, found the three devices in Anatel’s approval system. The Huawei Watch GT Classic Edition (FTN-B19) is a 46 mm diameter watch, while the Huawei Watch GT Elegant Edition (ELA-B19) is slightly smaller at 42 mm. There is also the Huawei Band 3 bracelet (TER-B09).
The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 mobile phone with retractable camera has also been approved; therefore, their launch in Brazil seems imminent. Huawei inaugurated more kiosks in malls and promises open a factory in the state of São Paulo with an investment of US $ 800 million.
Huawei Watch GT has up to 14 days battery life
O Huawei Watch GT Classic EditionIt has 1.39 inch round AMOLED touchscreen and 454 x 454 resolution. It is compatible with Android 4.4+ and iOS 9+, receiving notifications from your smartphone. The watch runs a system called LiteOS that promises autonomy of up to 14 days, with a cardiac monitor on and 90 minutes of exercise per week.
The company highlights its sports resources: it offers courses for those who are starting to run races; has triathlon mode that detects when the user switches from one activity to another (swimming, cycling and running); and has a barometer and altitude tool for climbing. It has water resistance up to 5 ATM; and supports the geolocation systems GPS, GLONASS and Galileo.
The heart rate sensor with Huawei TruSeen 3.0 technology tracks the user throughout the day; and sleep monitoring uses data from a joint study with the Harvard Medical School CDB Center to identify problems, with more than 200 suggestions to help you sleep better.
In turn, the Huawei Watch GT Elegant Edition brings the same features in a smaller size. Its 1.2 inch AMOLED screen has 390 x 390 resolution. The battery lasts up to 7 days (under the same conditions as above).
This version stands out for its white ceramic ring around the canvas: it goes through a “diamond-level cutting process that creates 48 small triangular cuts and then is polished with precision”, explains Huawei. This causes the watch to display different colors depending on the angle.
In Anatel photos, the watch has a white ring and a silver body:
Huawei Band 3 has a battery that lasts from 5 to 12 days
Meanwhile, a Huawei Band 3 is a simplified version of the watches above. It features the same TruSeen 3.0 heart rate system and the same sleep tracking as the Watch GT. The bracelet can also automatically identify you when you switch from one physical activity to another.
Band 3 receives notifications from iPhones and Android phones. The battery lasts for 5 to 12 days, depending on whether you activate sleep monitoring and the cardiac sensor.
The wearable features a 0.95-inch AMOLED touchscreen with low reflectivity, for easy reading in bright light. It has water resistance up to 50 m (5 ATM). The silicone bracelet is not removable.
