Amazon Prime launched this week in Brazil with several benefits, including free shipping, 12 months of Nintendo Switch Online, streaming from Prime Video, among others. Now, the company details its Amazon Music platform with two categories of streaming: the Prime Music, with 2 million songs for Prime subscribers; it’s the Amazon Music Unlimited, competitor of Spotify and Apple Music with more than 50 million tracks.
O Amazon Music Unlimited has an individual plan that costs R $ 16.90 / month or R $ 169 / year. There is also the family plan for up to six people, which costs R $ 25.90 / month or R $ 259 / year. In both cases, the first three months are free. The company charges similar amounts to those charged by Spotify and Apple Music.
The Amazon service offers several personalized playlists. One of the lists is updated weekly with releases by Brazilian and international artists. You will also find the Mais Tocadas, Ritmos Brasil (with samba, forró and arrocha), Explosão Funk and Balada Sertaneja. There is also a series called Time Machine, with playlists like “MPB anos 90” and “Indies 2000”.
Of course, you can create your own playlists and receive personalized suggestions for songs and artists, just like in the competition. You can save your favorite tracks to the Library.
You will not see (nor hear) ads on Amazon Music Unlimited. In addition, you can download music on up to 10 different devices to listen offline on iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows and macOS. There is also an application for streaming via the Fire TV Stick.
Prime Music is offered to Amazon Prime subscribers
In turn, Prime Music is a “lite” version of the streaming service. The catalog is much smaller, with 2 million songs, and focuses on artists such as “Caetano Veloso, Ludmilla, Gusttavo Lima, Queen, Pabllo Vittar and many others”, according to the company.
Prime Music is a benefit of the Amazon Prime subscription, which costs R $ 9.90 per month or R $ 89 per year. The service also includes free shipping to all of Brazil in products identified with the Prime seal; Prime Video streaming; access to the rotating catalog of magazines and e-books at Prime Reading; and Twitch Prime with 12 months of free Nintendo Switch Online.
