THE Amazon is doing a hardware event this Wednesday (25) in the United States. It renewed the line of smart speakers Echo and launched a lot of products with Alexa, from gadgets that we already expected, such as headphones Echo Fully wireless and noise-canceling buds, even less usual products, such as a ring with two microphones for voice commands (?).
Echo Buds are fully wireless headphones with active noise cancellation
Okay, let’s start with more familiar products when it comes to Amazon. The Echo Buds maybe the coolest ones: they are fully wireless headsets that cost $ 129.99 and have very interesting features. Obviously, it is possible to give voice commands: just say “Alexa” and start speaking as if you are always with a Amazon Echo, even away from home.
But Echo Buds have a five-hour battery (or up to 20 hours with the charging case); resistance to sweat, drizzle or splash; balanced armor drivers for clearer sound and dynamic bass; and active noise cancellation developed in partnership with Bose. That is, we are talking about a competitor of Sony WF-1000XM3, only costing almost half the price.
The new Echo Show 8 is halfway between the giant 10.1-inch Echo Show and the small Echo Show 5. The Alexa smart screen has HD resolution to play videos, show lyrics from Amazon Music or make video conferences with other Amazon Echo users. It also costs $ 129.99.
Closing the wave of more normal products, we have the Echo Flex: this is a tiny speaker that takes up the space of an outlet. For $ 24.99, half the price of Echo Dot, this is the cheapest way to put Alexa at home. It already has a USB-A jack to charge your cell phone or connect optional modules, such as a motion sensor or night light.
Glasses, ring, microwave …
Imagine having the ring for all govt… I mean, giving your finger a voice coma? This is the proposal of the Echo Loop: Amazon’s $ 129.99 smart ring has two microphones, a speaker and a button to give voice commands to Alexa. You can even answer phone calls through the ring, if you have enough social detachment. The battery lasts for a day and can be charged in 90 minutes.
We also have the Echo Frames, the smart glasses with Alexa. These are prescription glasses with microphones and four small speakers positioned so that the sound goes straight to your ears and leaks as little as possible. One of the features is the VIP Filter, which sends only important notifications to your glasses. Like Echo Loop, Echo Frames will only be available to Amazon guests for $ 179.99 (not including prescription lenses, of course).
Finally, the Alexa product line has the Amazon Smart Oven. Amazon had already launched a smart microwave, but this one is more complete: the company’s new “4 in 1” product is a microwave, an electric convection oven, an air fryer and a food heater (I know ) for $ 249.99.
According to Amazon, Smart Oven supports more than 30 specific voice commands; warns when the oven is preheated or when the food is ready; it has enough space to roast a chicken over 2 kg; and you can “automatically” cook certain products by scanning the barcode with the Alexa app.
