More than two hundred emojis will reach WhatsApp, Android, iPhone and the like in the coming months. The expectation is that the new version will land on cell phones and other devices in 2021.
More than 200 emojis will arrive on WhatsApp, Android and iPhone
The new version brings 217 emojis to be sent in messages, social media publications and the like. According to Unicode Consortium, the set includes seven new exclusive emoticons, two hearts and five faces, in addition to 210 variations of skin tones between couples with a floating or kissing heart.
“This small launch was created to add new emojis before 2022. The Unicode Consortium is a voluntary organization and we would be completely out of new emojis in 2021 if it weren’t for the dedication of many volunteers who made this possible”, thanks the consortium during the announcement of the Emoji 13.1.
Emoji 13.1 is expected to arrive on WhatsApp, Android, iPhone and other applications and operating systems next year.
